Keratin is a protein produced by the human body. It is essentially a fibrous organic structure that the body uses to build filamentous structures; specifically, keratin is the main protein in hair.

Keratin is a very complex protein composed of 18 amino acids, 17 essential and one derivative: Cystine.

CYSTINE is a sulfur-containing amino acid, the amino acid with the highest relative presence in the Keratin (between 16-18%): in absolute terms, it is not a huge percentage, but it is balanced in such a way that the two cysteines combine into an organized structure, forming CYSTINE, composed of disulfide bonds that determine the structure and strength of the fiber.
